Town planning has a very wide meaning. Viewpoints, such as natural environment, social environment, and living environment are various. Especially, an "aging problem" is the most important when gazing at the future of town planning. How should a town change while aging progress increasingly from now on? I will think this problem from “community” which is the most familiar society. The purpose of this paper is verification of the present town planning and considering of the future town planning putting a point on elderly people welfare as gazing at the whole town planning in community.
First of all, why is "town planning" improved now in the modern society which deepens confusion? Now, in the town, a hard side is saturated, and soft demand becomes large, and worth of community has been lost. Moreover, relation of people is becoming thin. And the biggest problem the town is faced is an aging problem range all domains in a citizen life and town planning.
Secondly, on the basis of an aging problem, I will inspect the town planning of the elderly people welfare in Matsumoto city actually. From there, I discovered that elderly people continue loving their town through “independence”, “health”, “work”, and “social participation”.
Thirdly, I suggest promotion of “universal design”. It is important that every people have a universal design what designing of things, buildings and environment in order to easy to use for every people in a view or consciousness, of course physically.
